Bangladeshi Expats March in London in Solidarity with Palestine

Bangladeshi expatriates joined a protest march on the streets of London to denounce Israel’s attacks on Gaza and its violations of Palestinian human rights. Organized by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC), the event also marked the 77th anniversary of the 1948 Nakba—the mass displacement of Palestinians from their homeland.

Thousands took part in the protest, including Bangladeshis marching under the banner of Bengalis for Palestine. Central London’s streets were filled with Palestinian flags, protest placards, and chants echoing solidarity with Palestine.

The demonstrators demanded an end to the months-long blockade on Gaza and expressed outrage at the silence of the international community. Protesters criticized UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer for his stance and called on him to withdraw what they described as his “support for crimes against humanity.”

Speakers condemned the international community’s response to Gaza over the decades, labeling it as “hypocrisy,” and called for a lasting solution rooted in Palestinian resistance. “Our struggle is one of patience and hope,” said one participant.

Among the Bangladeshi attendees were Nooruddin Ahmed, Rajonuddin Jalal, Shafiq Ahmed, Smriti Azad, Ahmed Fakr Kamal, Abu Hossain, Mahmud Ali, and Mosaddeq Hossain. They pledged to continue pressuring for an end to Israel’s “apartheid system” and to uphold the right of return for displaced Palestinians.
